Preamble

Our home is a chambre d’hôtes (guesthouse) and not a hotel, which means we are not professional hoteliers. By staying with us, you agree to share a small part of our daily life and story. Don’t be surprised if you see us join you at breakfast or at dinner if you have chosen to enjoy our table d’hôtes. We always strive to offer you the best personalized welcome while respecting your privacy. It matters deeply to us that you continue your journey with fond memories of your stay.

Table d’hôtes information

Our table d’hôtes is an optional dinner service offered exclusively by reservation, at least one day before your arrival. We do not offer this service every day—it depends on our availability. Please don’t be surprised if, shortly before your arrival, we inform you that dinner cannot be served at home. In that case, we’ll gladly help you find an alternative nearby.

We hold a “petite restauration” license, which allows us to serve alcoholic beverages under 18° during meals, at an additional cost. As a reminder, we are not permitted to offer or serve alcohol to guests under 18 years old.

Dinner is served at 7:30 p.m. for all our guests.

Booking information

Room reservations can be made by phone, email, or directly on our website. They become effective only after confirmation by email from us. A deposit representing at least 50% of the night rate may be requested. The remaining balance is payable upon departure.

By reserving a room, you unreservedly accept the terms and conditions below.

It is also possible to book through Booking.com. In that case, payment is processed through our partner platform, and rates as well as cancellation or refund conditions may differ.

1 – Duration of stay

Even if your company is most pleasant, you may not under any circumstance extend your stay beyond the dates confirmed in your reservation.

2 – Reservation and deposit

The reservation becomes effective once you receive our email confirmation specifying the dates of your stay and the total price. When a deposit is required, your booking becomes effective upon receipt of the payment. The deposit may represent 25% of the total stay or at least 50% of one night, payable by bank transfer or check.

3 – Rates and tourist tax

Our current rates are listed on the “Rates” page of our website www.aupontdolt.com . These are the only contractual rates and include all taxes, as we are not subject to VAT under Article 293B of the French Tax Code. Only the local taxe de séjour (tourist tax) is excluded and must be paid with the remaining balance of your stay. This tax is fully remitted to the French Treasury.

Bookings made through third-party platforms such as Booking.com may display different rates. In that case, the applicable rate is the one shown at the time of booking on that platform.

4 – Cancellation by the guest and “no-show”(1)

Cancellations must be made by email at aupontdolt@gmail.com or, if you prefer carrier pigeons, with acknowledgment of receipt at least 3 days (72 hours) before your arrival date at 4 p.m.

  • You may cancel free of charge up to 3 days (72 hours) before arrival (local time). In this case, no fees will be charged, and any deposit already paid will be refunded via bank transfer.
  • If the cancellation occurs less than 72 hours before arrival, the total cost of the booked stay will be due.
  • If cancellation occurs less than 24 hours before arrival, any additional services booked (such as dinner at the table d’hôtes) will also be charged.
  • In case of “no-show”(1)—that is, if you do not show up at the house on the day of your arrival without informing us by email (at aupontdolt@gmail.com ) or by text message (at +33 6 52 46 24 20), an additional penalty fee of €40 will be charged.
  • If you shorten your stay after arrival, the full cost of the originally booked accommodation remains due.
  • If you fail to arrive before 8 p.m. on the first day of your booking without notice, your reservation will be cancelled, and we may reassign the room. In this case, the full price of the stay, including any additional services, remains payable. A formal invoice will be sent by email, and unpaid amounts after 7 days will be forwarded to a debt collection agency, with a minimum additional charge of €50.

5 – Cancellation by the owners

If we must cancel your stay before your arrival, you will be notified by email or registered mail. Any deposit received will be fully refunded, and we will do our best to help you find an alternative accommodation, though without obligation of result.

6 – Arrival

We welcome guests between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Please inform us in advance if you expect to arrive later.

7 – Payment of balance

The remaining balance, along with any additional services consumed during your stay, must be paid upon departure.

8 – Use of the premises

Guests agree to respect the peaceful nature of the house and to use the premises in accordance with their purpose. Meals may not be taken in the rooms. Guests are expected to leave the rooms in good condition, report any damage, and accept responsibility for it.

The entire house is non-smoking.

9 – Capacity

Each room reservation is made for a specific number of guests, including children and infants. If more guests arrive than indicated, we reserve the right to refuse additional persons or deny access entirely. Such refusal cannot be considered a breach of contract on our part, and no refund will be issued. If we choose to accept the additional guests, a supplement may apply based on our standard rates.

10 – Pets

We accept small pets if mentioned at the time of booking, provided they are well-behaved and non-aggressive. Any incident caused by your pet remains your full responsibility. If, upon arrival, we determine that your pet may endanger other guests, we reserve the right to deny access to the property.

We hope these conditions haven’t frightened you off, and we look forward to welcoming you soon to our home in Saint-Côme-d’Olt.
